Wuthering Waves Achievement Guide: Tips for Battle, Echoes, and More

In 2026, Wuthering Waves has evolved far beyond version 1.0, but many of the original achievements still remain, and completionists are still hunting them down. Whether a player is a veteran returning to tie up loose ends or a newcomer curious about the early grind, this guide covers the first batch of achievements from the launch version—focusing on Battle Memories, Battle Skills, Unexpected Experience, and Echo Collection. Each one rewards Astrite, so it's worth the effort. Trust me, every bit counts when you're saving for the next banner.
Battle Memories: Boss Slaying 101
The first category is straightforward: defeat each major boss for the first time, then do it 49 more times. The initial kills often come naturally through the main story or exploration quests. For example, the Mourning Aix appears early on, while the Lampylumen Myriad hides in the Tiger's Maw Mine—teleport to the Beacon near the mine entrance and head into the tunnel. The Inferno Rider shows up during the "We Promise, We Deliver" quest, and the Crownless is part of the main questline. The Bell-Borne Geochelone is encountered during the Tacet Discord Hunter quest, and the Tempest Mephis only counts after defeating both it and the Thundering Mephis. A player should note that some of these bosses are Union-level locked or appear in specific quests.

Then there are the "defeat 50 times" achievements. These are a real grind—especially the weekly bosses, which only give rewards three times a week. But hey, you can fight them anytime; the rewards are just limited. As the original guide author admitted, "I'm not even going to try getting this achievement in this version." In 2026, with more content and higher levels, it's much easier, but still time-consuming.
Battle Skills: Combat Mechanics and Quirky Challenges
This section is packed with achievements that test a player's understanding of the combat system. First, trigger the Intro Skill 20 times. This happens when switching characters with full Concerto Energy—it's a core mechanic, so most players will get it naturally. Then there are the "Recoil" achievements: use a boss's own Echo Skill to land the killing blow. For example, equip the Bell-Borne Geochelone Echo, bring the boss to 1% HP, switch to the character with that Echo, and use the skill. Repeat for Inferno Rider, Tempest Mephis (don't confuse with Thundering Mephis), Mourning Aix, Crownless, and Thundering Mephis.
Other combat tasks include dealing 10,000 Crit DMG, parrying 10 times, using a revival item, and performing 50 dodges. There are also damage milestones: 1,000 in one hit, 10,000 in one hit (the explosive spears in "We Promise, We Deliver" help), and total damage of 10k, 100k, 1M, and 10M. The total damage ones stack over time—even a low-level Yangyang can chip away at them.

A few achievements require defeating specific overworld enemies, like the Roseshroom Variant in Port City of Guixu or the Sabyrkin in Tiger's Maw. For the Scorpion's Nest in Port City of Guixu, players need to go underground and enter the password 2 > 4 > 5 > 7. Then there's the Chixia challenge: defeat enemies 10 times with her Heavy Attack from 7 meters away, and again from 1 meter away. The 1-meter one is tricky—players must be practically hugging the enemy. Animals like goats count too, but they run away. A good tip is to target low-HP enemies like Young Roseshroom that don't move.
There are also incapacitation achievements: let a Resonator be knocked out by Zig Zags' explosion, Excarats' attacks, the Inferno Rider's charge, or Gulpuffs' bubble. For the elemental fatal blows (Glacio, Fusion, Electro, Aero, Spectro, Havoc), bring a level 1 character and take a big hit from an enemy of that element while above 50% HP. You know how it is—sometimes you just need to let your level 1 character take one for the team.
Unexpected Experience & Echo Collection
Echo-related achievements are mostly about collection and upgrades. Absorb 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star Echoes (reach Data Bank level 15 for a chance at 5-stars). Absorb 10, 20, and 50 5-star Echoes, plus 100, 300, and 500 total Echoes. Upgrade a 5-star Echo to max level, tune Echoes 50, 100, and 200 times, and activate a 5-piece Sonata Effect. Defeating a Shiny Echo grants an achievement—track one down using the Phantom Echo guide.

Other miscellaneous tasks: reach Resonator Ascension Rank 6, upgrade the Data Bank to Lv.8, Lv.15, and Lv.20, obtain the Crownless and Bell-Borne Geochelone Echoes, complete 10, 30, and 50 daily quests, equip a 4-star weapon, and obtain 3, 6, and 10 Resonators (Rover doesn't count for the first one). Finally, max out all skills of any Resonator.
It's a bit of a headache, but totally doable. With patience and a bit of planning, any player can clear these achievements and rake in the Astrite. Happy hunting!
